Posting a banner in a guestbook
or forum

Do you sign a heap of guestbooks or want to post a image or signature in a forum? How many times have you surfed though guestbooks and clicked on some nice looking banner instead of some boring old word link. Ah! You know what I'm talking about.

If so, then you need to know how to post a banner when signing someone's guestbook. First off you need to make your banner then upload it to your server. I made my banner using Paint Shop Pro.

Here's the html code for posting a banner in a guestbook just fill in your information and type it in the comments box of the "sign" page.

Some guestbooks and forums don't support html, so you might want to view the guestbook first when in doubt, before you try to post your banner.

(Tip. Highlight all the text in the box by clicking inside the box and pressing "ctrl + a") (Copy by pressing "ctrl + c") (Paste by pressing "ctrl + v")

Unfortunately HTML Gear guestbooks are a bit harder to post your banner code. The code needs to be heavily modified to be accepted.

The "IMG SRC" line needs to be started on a line of it's own. Strip out the width and height attributes and the closing </a> tag. Yes, that is very strange, but it seems the only way to make your banner work with HTML Gear guestbooks.
